Content Marketing Specialist -- Bagwell Marketing

Responsible for content creation such as writing and editing original social media content as well as weekly blogs focused on writing with SEO in mind to drive traffic to the client’s website(s) I manage to increase sales and brand awareness. My success in this position is shown by my ability to increase engagement by 51% on a client’s social media page and traffic to their blog had doubled both within just one month. My skills of being creative with all content, my self-motivation along with possessing excellent time management skills have made me a strong asset to the Bagwell team.

 


Social Media Content Writer -- Dex Media

Responsible for planning, writing and publishing my original copy to be posted on multiple social media channels for 15 to 35 clients each day. My success in this role was a result of my high self-discipline, staying innovative with all my written content and consistently working to complete all assigned work within tight deadlines. When viewing the analytics during my time in this position it showed I was responsible for a rapid growth in audience recall and engagement rates that exceeded the expectations of each client I wrote for. I achieved this with my strategic, customer-focused content that met and/or exceeded my client’s goals of increasing sales and driving traffic to the client’s website with the various call-to-action posts I wrote and published, all while facing the exciting challenge of writing with brevity to meet a 140-character limit for social posts.Wrote copy for the social media posts of numerous clients. Being self-disciplined, staying innovative with all content written, working with tight deadlines and ensuring tasks were completed on time are main skills needed for this position. Writing with a strategy all while staying under 160 characters is critical.

Managed the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of multiple clients daily. Planning and writing social media posts, utilizing Photoshop, or Canva to design the images to accompany social posts where necessary, writing press releases, creating media contact lists, designing and sending email newsletters, as well as writing weekly blog posts that once completed, I was responsible for posting on the client’s blog on their website (Typically hosted through WordPress), while additionally working to improve the SEO for each post.

July 2012 - August 2016

Ensuring guest satisfaction, multitasking without errors and staying positive in demanding situations were necessary in this role. After two years, I earned a promotion to the “Headwaiter” position, meaning I had an increase in responsibilities along with being in a leadership position to the other servers. I was responsible for overseeing each shift’s cash drawers, checking them for accuracy, processing server cashouts, making nightly monetary deposits and completing daily administrative work.

Created a campaign for Victorias Secret from the ground, up.  Duties included cooperating as part of a team, staying calm under pressure, attending to details, enduring long hours, research, designing the creative aspects of the campaign.

Fall 2015

Created a social media plan for up and coming cruise line Fathom. Duties included managing time efficiently, working under deadlines, working in a group environment, teamwork, working with InDesign and presenting the final plan to the client to their satisfaction.
